Well, so much for the altered dictionary project. The letter "V" was my first and last page. Maybe some day I'll get back to it. I was a bit disappointed when I discovered that altered dictionary projects were actually quite common but that is really not an excuse for quitting.
So anyway, how about a couple of cards I made a while back . . .

Beginning My Altered Dictionary Project
As I was cruising around the web last Saturday, visiting various blogs I follow, I happened to discover The Craft Barn and a new project they were just starting up. It was the first letter of an altered dictionary project. I have since discovered that these are nothing new but this was the first I had ever heard of such a thing and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to give it a try. I had an old German-English dictionary from when I was at the Army's Language School at the Presidio in San Francisco that I was planning on getting rid of anyway so finding an old dictionary was no problem at all. I even knew right where it was--surprising if you've seen my "spare" bedroom and/or garage! Izzy at The Craft Barn is going to "give" us a new letter every 2 weeks so I should be able to keep up with that. On Sunday I completed my first page. Our letter was V and I chose the word "vogel" (bird) from the German half of my dictionary. Almost everything used on my double-page spread is from Stampin' Up!

Facebook too--I must be crazy!
Well, I went & made a facebook page too; guess I'm committed to doing something now. If you want to hop on over & check it out, I put up pics of two of the cards I designed myself.
